Lumen is a place where light and flavor intertwine into a single story.
The name Lumen comes from Latin, meaning “light” — a symbol of warmth, inspiration, and clarity.
We bring this idea to life through gastronomy, creating dishes that fill each moment with a special glow.

Ambience

The interior of Lumen is a harmony of light and texture: soft lamp glow, natural wood, and a calm color palette.

There’s nothing excessive here — only what creates an atmosphere of warmth and comfort that makes you want to stay longer.

Mark Keerd

At the heart of every restaurant is a person who brings ideas to life. At Lumen, that person is Mark – a man for whom food is art, inspiration, and a way to tell stories without words.

For him, it is important that every guest feels, even for a moment, as if they’ve stepped outside their everyday routine – surrounded by flavours, aromas and warmth that evoke Nordic calm and the fragility of light. Mark believes that truly great dishes are born from honest ingredients, the right flavours, and small details that together create a complete whole.

Under his guidance, Lumen’s kitchen has become a place where creativity meets precision, simplicity meets elegance. Here, flavours are created that don’t try to be overly complex – but honest, seasonal and full of character. “Good food doesn’t need to shout to be noticed. When the flavour is right, it speaks for itself,” says Mark. This philosophy has also earned Mark the Michelin Young Chef Award 2025 title.

Kristina is a chef whose hands create flavours that speak quietly yet leave a strong impression. For her, cooking is a meditative process – focus, creativity and respect for every ingredient.

In Lumen’s kitchen, Kristina believes that beauty lies in simplicity. Every flavour must be balanced, every texture in its right place, and every dish born from sincere dedication. Her calm presence and precise way of working are part of the invisible rhythm that brings Lumen’s kitchen to life.

“Cooking is my way of speaking to people – without words,” says Kristina.

For her, the most important thing is that every dish leaving the kitchen carries warmth and care, something the guest can feel from the very first bite.
